Nashville has been a city thatās been on our bucket list to travel to now for a while. Iāve always wanted to go mainly for the sheer reason that Iām a big country music fan but thereās so much more to the city than just the music. Itās the rich history behind it, the views, the restaurants and all the fun you can possibly think of to be had.
Rich took me for an early 40th birthday present and though it was a great trip to go as a couple, I couldnāt help but think how awesome it would have been on a bachelorette party in this city. The two of us had the most amazing time together while there. With a long list of suggestions we narrowed down to only a short list of must sees and recommendations,we kept it that way so as we would not feel overwhelmed and Iām so glad we did as thereās such a huge amount of things to do and see. We knew we wanted to have some fun, wanted to enjoy some good food and music and maybe learn a little; we did all of that and more in only just a short weekend which I felt was just enough. Hereās some of the highlights of what we did and what I recommend:
Jason Aldeans
If youāre looking for a few good drinks, where you can sit out on a roof deck and enjoy some live music right in the heart of the city this is your place. This place is roaring come 2 oāclock and it becomes shoulder to shoulder, loud, so much fun with the drinks flowing, the sun beaming itās a good dose of Broadway and some Nashville fun.
White Limozeen
This place was absolutely fabulous! The only tricky thing is getting in! Reservations can be tricky as itās booked far out in advance but I suggest checking periodically as spots do open up. Rich and I were lucky enough to be checking and got one. This restaurant is located on the roof top of the graduate hotel which is a Dolly Parton and inspired masterpiece. The pink, the white, the black and white checked floors, the chandeliers, the crystalā¦.itās just amazing! Rich and I went for a light lunch and I enjoyed āsitting prettyā cocktail which was so refreshing and delicious. We got a gigantic plate of mussels and truffle fries for days. The views of the city on top of the roof were incredible.
What Lifts You
While in the Gulch area, might as well scooter on over and check out the famous #whatliftsyou Angel wings painting. Itās a must see while in Nashville and truly breathtaking.
LA Jackson
Looking for more rooftop views of Nashville? LA Jacksonās was another must on our list. We did not eat there but we did enjoy a few delicious cocktails while taking in the views in the afternoon sunshine sunshine while some old school throwbacks and country favorites played.
Pedal Bar Tour
If youāre looking to loosen up, turn things up a notch and take it to the next level, the pedal bar is the way to go while enjoying some good throwbacks and country favorites and throwing back some cold ones while enjoying the views of Broadway.
Country Hall of Fame Museum
If youāre looking to learn all about the rich musical history of Nashville and learn a little this is your place to go. This museum features large number of artists from Bill Anderson, to Elvis, to Taylor Swift and everything in between.
Pancake Pantry
This place was fabulous but be sure to get there early otherwise the line stretches out the door and down the sidewalk. Be sure to try their famous buttermilk pancakes with their special homemade syrup. AMAZIING!
Omni Hotel
I canāt say enough good things about the hotel. It was absolutely fabulous! With it only being nine years old it had all the amenities youāre looking for in a hotel and more. With multiple restaurants, a roof deck pool, workout center a beautiful lounge bar, it had everything you could possibly think of to make for a good day. Looking to have a relaxing Sunday fun day by the pool with some good throwbacks and delicious drinks, Omni is your hotel. It was centrally located in walkable to most locations.
The Scooters
My best advice is to do them in fact they were cheaper than most taxis, Ubers and Lyfts and a great way to get around the city at your own pace while having some fun. I never wouldāve thought Iād be cruising around Nashville in my cut off jean shorts, cowgirl boots and enjoying the views of the city on a scooter. Take it slow if youāve had some drinks and if youāre a newbie though but wow what a fun, way to get around and feel like a kid again.
A weekend in Nashville is all you need to see and do most things. The May weather was just perfect and not too hot. Warm enough to enjoy the pool and enjoy some drinks and dinner al fresco. Any questions or links needed, feel free to DM me. I highly recommend āthe music cityā and a perfect city to enjoy country music, the food, the fun, all the views and more, Yāall!
