I took the kids on a recent shopping trip to @christmastreeshops to get our gingerbread house kits for our annual family tradition and to enter CTSâs contest this year. We left with everything you could think of to make our gingerbread houses and then some. We were looking for some themed gingerbread houses that stuck out to us and our favorite candies. All Kits range from $9.99 to $14.99. My girls just love Barbie so we snagged up that kit which was only $11.99! All my littles also love Oreos so we picked up an Oreo kit, along with the Pez kit because it was just so colorful which my girls love and rainbow has special meaning to our family. We also just had to hit up the the candy section to top off our houses with all the sweet, colorful, festive goodness. We snagged some stocking and Christmas tree peeps as well as some rainbow sprinkle balls and chocolates.
We were ready and stocked up for our annual gingerbread house making tradition and boy did we have fun making them. It sure was messy, our houses collapsed many times, there were lots of laughs, candy spilled, frosted faces and sticky hands hug we made beautiful memories and celebrated wonderdul traditions and thatâs all that matters. We submitted our beautiful creations to Christmas Tree Shops Gingerbread House Contest, which is running from now until 12/11, and then on 12/12 theyâll be kicking off a voting phase for you guys to pick your favorite!
