About
Hi! I'm Courtney
aka Mommy, Court, Courtie, Coco, Sunny
Hi Friends! I'm a former pre-k teacher turned wife and stay at home mom. I graduated with a bachelor's in Communication Studies and shortly after college I did event planning, I later nannied and went back to school to get my early education certification to teach pre-k as I loved working with children and getting creative. After marrying my hometown sweetheart, we shortly after moved to our second home in a small, metro-west suburb country town of Boston where we worked closely with my Dad who is a builder and built and designed our farmhouse colonial dream home. We have four children and another and two dogs. Our oldest and firstborn son; Bryce now our forever guardian angel, our daughter Lyla; turned 3 this July, Saylor; who turned 1 this July and our son Jayce; born this July. I have always loved getting creative and writing. I love fashion, home decor and photography.
After becoming a stay at home mom, I needed a creative outlet while being home, something separate from mom life yet still very much connected with who and where I come from and that's where Sunshine Inc. was born. I started my creative, inspirational Lifestyle/Family Blog known as Sunshine Inc. in November of 2016 and since then, I have put my heart and soul into it and it's grown and evolved over the years with me and my own life story. With Sunshine Inc. I want to be able to create inspiration for you, share with you and shine my own sunny filter on the content I deliver through my home-styling and organization, fashion finds (mommy & me), photography and anything else fun or interesting to me and provide a window into my home, lifestyle and family.
Sadly and very unexpectedly our son passed in a tragic accident in June of 2019. It has been a heart-wrenching journey for our family but we see the light and we will get there. Since the accident, we have several successful fundraisers under our belt, we have started a Memorial Foundation, donated scholarships, memorials and more. I have been able to use my blog as an outlet to let you in on our healing journey and what we are doing along the way to honor and keep our son Bryce's memory alive. Through what I have shared, I can only hope that maybe I can somehow help others and raise awareness.
